Mrs. Mary Hattie Gilley, 53 years old, widow of the late C.R. (Dick) Gilley, member of the Sherman police force for many years, died Saturday morning at 3:30 o'clock at her home, 603 Wells Avenue.
Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock from the John C. Dannel Funeral Home. The Rev. J.A. Caraway of Ranger, formerly of Sherman, will officiate. Burial will be in West Hill Cemetery.
She is survived by her daughter, Mrs. E.V. Dial of Burkburnett; her mother, Mrs. J.W. Rogers, and the following brothers and sisters: Miss Grace Rogers and Mrs. J.B. Potter of Sherman; Mrs. C.D. Laverty and Mrs. W.S. Blake of Gainesville, Mrs. E.H. Loyd of Ardmore, Okla., Mrs. J.A. Parker of Pilot Point, and W.H. Rogers of Mangum, Okla.
Mrs. Gilley was born in Texas, April 17, 1874, and had lived in Sherman for the past 27 years. She had been in ill health for the past seven months.
The body will lie in state at the funeral home until the funeral service Monday afternoon.
