SHERMAN - Funeral services Doris Jean Ring were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, October 6 in the Pathway Church of God. Rev. Bill Lee, Rev. Dalton Jaco, and Rev. Raymond England officiated. Burial followed at West Hill Cemetery with Carl Guthrie, Brad Davis, Rickey Lee, Jimmy Lee, Clint Clemons, and Ronnie Hendricks serving as pallbearers. Mrs. Ring passed away Saturday, October 3 at Texoma Medical Center at the age of 77 from injuries she received after being involved in an automobile accident. 
Jean was born on September 10, 1932 in Bennington, Oklahoma to the late Mitchell and Virgie (Davis) Hampton. Jean was married to Rev. Darold Ring for many years until he passed away in May 1984. As a pastor's wife, Jean was always active in church work, teaching Sunday School for many years and worshiping as a singer and musician. She loved the Lord and enjoyed studying her Bible. Her friends and family will be remember her as a devoted homemaker who loved cooking and shopping. Jean was a longtime member of the Pathway Church of God. 
Mrs. Ring is survived by two sons, Eddie Ring and wife, Linda, of Sherman and Rev. Rick Ring and wife, Darlene, of Yarnaby, Oklahoma; four grandchildren, Debra and Kim Ring of Sherman; Michael Ring of Yarnaby, Oklahoma; and Stacie Wilson and her husband, Rickey Don, of Bells; and great-grandchildren, Emily and Rylan Wilson of Bells.
