SHERMAN - Funeral services for Mary O. Davis will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 26 at West Hill Cemetery. Rev. Mack Rogers of the Sherman Church of the Nazarene will officiate with services under the direction of Waldo Funeral Home. Mrs. Davis, 85, was called home to be with the Lord on Thursday, Oct. 22 at Wilson N. Jones Medical Center. 
Mary was born on Oct. 12, 1924 in Howe, to the late Ralph and Essie (Brooks) Smith. In September 1952, Mary married Garner O. Davis in Sherman. They were married more than 32 years when he passed away in April 1975. Mrs. Davis worked for several years as a nurse's aide at Wilson N. Jones. She had been a member of the Sherman Church of the Nazarene for over 50 years. 
Mrs. Davis will be dearly missed by her family and is survived by sons, Don James and wife Mary of Little Elm and Gary Davis of Sherman; daughter, Mary John and husband William of Southmayd; grandchildren, Clint James of Denison, Cynthia Mathis of Marlin, William James of Dallas, Elisa Bounds of Southmayd, and Shane Davis of Carlsbad, N.M.; great-grandchildren, three great-greatgrandchildren; one brother Charles Smith and his wife Rose of North Platte, Neb.; and a special niece, Beverly Clevenger of Sherman. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, one sister, Wanda McCoy, a grandchild, and one great-grandchild. 
The family will receive friends from 6 -8 p.m. Sunday at Waldo Funeral Home.
