WHITESBORO - Funeral services for Charles Leon Cundiff, 79, will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 19, 2009 at Meador Funeral Home Chapel in Whitesboro with Rev. Rick Carney officiating. Interment will follow in West Hill Cemetery in Sherman. Visitation will be from
6 -7 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 18, 2009 at the funeral home. 

Charles passed away on Oct. 15, 2009 at Wilson N. Jones Medical Center in Sherman. 
He was born on Aug. 12, 1930 in Cooke County to Monte and Mary (Wells) Cundiff. Charles worked for the U.S. Postal service for more than 30 years and received the million mile award from the U.S. Postal Service. He was very active in the Whitesboro community and has been a member of the Whitesboro Chamber of Commerce. 
Survivors include four daughters, Debbie Cardwell and husband, Jeff of Weatherford, Kathy Mourot and husband, Roy of Abilene, Patti Seyler and husband, Mike of Valley View and Charlotte Williams and husband, Jimmy of Whitesboro; a brother, J.W. Cundiff of Dallas; grandchildren, Michael Mourot, Monica Ayotte, Leah Boaz, Will Seyler, Danielle Williams, and Hunter Williams; five great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. 
He was preceded in death by his parents, Monte and Mary Cundiff. 
Pallbearers are: Roy Mourot, Michael Mourot, Mike Seyler, Will Seyler, Jimmy Williams, Jeff Cardwell and Hunter Williams.
