Graveside services were held Thursday morning at West Hill Cemetery for James F. Thrasher, 82, of 1202 N. Grand Ave.  He died Tuesday at a Sherman hospital.  Services were conducted by Rev. Paul Wheelus of the North Park Baptist Church, with burial under direction of Waldo Funeral Home.
Mr. Thrasher was born in Sherman, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Frank Thrasher. He was married to the former Myrtle Crumby in 1911 in McKinney and had been a Sherman resident all his life. He was a conductor for the Frisco Railroad for more than 60 years prior to his retirement several years ago.
Survivors are his wife; sons, James Earl Thrasher of Sherman and W.B. Thrasher of Camarillo, California; daughter, Mrs. Eugene Russell of Sherman; brother, Zed Thrasher of Sherman; 8 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

Graveside services were held Monday afternoon at West Hill Cemetery for Myrtle Thrasher, 83, of 1202 N. Grand who died Saturday morning in a Sherman hospital.  Services were conducted by Rev. Paul Wheelus of the North Park Baptist Church, under the direction of Waldo Funeral Home.
Mrs. Thrasher was born in Ravenna, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Crumby. She was married to James F. Thrasher in 1911 in McKinney. She was a Baptist.
Survivors are sons, James Earl Thrasher of Sherman and W.B. Thrasher of Camarillo, California.; daughter, Mrs. Eugene Russell of Sherman; brother, Earl Crumby of Chickasha, Oklahoma; sister Mrs. W.T. Calhoun of Sherman; 8 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
