Elizabeth Carr Caraway, age 89, entered into eternal life Sunday, August 14, 2011, at Texas Health Presbyterian-WNJ.
Mrs. Caraway was born August 31, 1921 in Rose Hill, Texas, the daughter of Ira K. and Eliza (Caraway) Carr.  Elizabeth married Carl Mandel who was killed in the line of duty in July 1944 while serving in the US Army.  Later she married Olen V. Caraway June 8, 1946 in Sherman, Texas.  Elizabeth was a member of Grayson Bible Baptist Church.  She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.  
Mrs. Caraway is survived by her beloved family: grandsons, Lee Lankford of Sherman, Texas and Bert Lankford in Texas.  Great-grandson Clay Lankford, great-granddaughter Kelsey Lankford, great-grandson, Luke Lankford, and great-granddaughter, Libby Lankford.
Preceded in death by her husbands Carl Mandel and Olen Caraway and beloved daughter Lana Lankford.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 16, 2011 at West Hill Cemetery in Sherman with Brother Johnson officiating.  There is no set time for family visitation.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Grayson County Home Health, 1515 Sam Rayburn Freeway, Sherman, Texas 75090.
Arrangements are under the direction of Fisher Funeral Home, 604 W. Main in Denison, Texas.




Lana C. Langford
13 October 1947 - 2 January 2011   

Collinsville- Graveside funeral services for Lana Ruth Langford were held Wednesday afternoon, January 5 at West Hill Cemetery. Rev. Garner Simpkins of the Legacy Bible Church officiated with services under the direction of Waldo Funeral Home. Mrs. Langford, 63, passed away Sunday January 2 at her home in Collinsville. 
Lana was born October 13, 1947 in Sherman, Texas to Elizabeth Carr Caraway and the late O.V. Caraway. She graduated from Garland High School in 1966 and worked as a secretary for Sherman ISD for several years before retiring. Lana will be remembered by her family as a devoted and loving mother. 
Mrs. Langford is survived by her mother, Elizabeth Caraway of Sherman; two sons, Lee Langford and his wife, Valerie, of Sherman and Bert Langford and wife, Leanna, of Denison; and 4 grandchildren, Clay, Luke, Libby, and Kelsey.
She was preceded in death by her father. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Home Hospice of Grayson County at 505 W. Center, Sherman, Texas 75090.
