Jeffrey Dale Miller, 53, of Southmayd passed away on May 6, 2010. Graveside services were held in West Hill Cemetery at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, May 10, 2010 with Rev. Danny Wood of West Sherman Baptist Church officiating. Dannel Funeral Home was in charge of the services.

J.D. was born on February 14, 1957 in Sherman to Billy and Mattie Moran Miller. He was educated in the public schools of Sherman. He served in the U.S. Army 1981-1985, working in military intelligence. He married the love of his life, Teresa Wingo, on May 11, 1985 at Grayson Bible Baptist Church. A member of West Sherman Baptist Church, Jeff worked as a police officer in Kingston, Oklahoma, having served in law enforcement for 30 years.
J.D. had a great sense of humor and always put a positive spin on life. If you were his friend, you could depend on him completely. He was a very gentle, unselfish and loyal person. Riding his Harley was a passion, and J.D. would go anywhere his motorcycle would take him, including weekend rides with other members of West Sherman Baptist. 
Survivors include his wife, Teresa; his father and mother Billy and Mattie Miller; a son and a daughter; a stepson, Michael Dudley of Sherman; brothers, Daniel Miller and Bill E. Miller, both of Sherman; nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were members of the Kingston, Oklahoma Police Department.
Memorials may be made to West Sherman Baptist Church.
