 Bobbie Smith 3 May 1888 - 13 March 1912 Friday, December 16, 1977 Services were held Saturday morning in Dannel Chapel for Mrs. Bertie Smith, 97, who died Thursday in a Sherman nursing home. Rev. Jerry Ott of Key Memorial United Methodist Church officiated and burial was in West Hill Cemetery. Born in Georgia, she was the daughter of John S. and Sarah Brown Jay. She moved here 70 years ago and was married to Walter A. Smith December 26, 1912. She was a member of Key Memorial United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women. She is survived by a son, R.L. Smith of Sherman; daughters, Mrs. Percy Hannon of Albuquerque, New Mexico and Mrs. Mattie Burton of Garland; brother, M.N. Jay of Orange, California;; sister, Annie Louise Nielsen of Marysville, California; 5 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Carl Perry, H.A.
