NATIVE OF HOWE DIES MONDAY
Mrs. George Jay, 52, died at 5:30 p.m. Monday at her residence, 423 North Cleveland, after an illness of 2 months.  Funeral services were held at 5 p.m. Tuesday from the Central Christian Church, Dr. Roy H. Biser, pastor, officiating.  Burial was at West Hill with the Talley Funeral Home in charge.
Mrs. Jay was born July 22, 1884 at Howe.  She was married to George Jay in 1902 and the couple moved to Sherman 20 years ago.  Mrs. Jay was a member of the Central Christian Church in Sherman.
Surviving are her husband; 2 sons, Mack and George Jay, Jr., of Sherman; one daughter, Margaret Jay of Sherman; her father and step-mother, Mr. and Mrs. J.T. McCoy of Sherman; 3 sisters, Mrs. Dave Arnspiger and Miss Neill McCoy of Sherman; and Miss Elizabeth McCoy of Ada, Oklahoma; and 2 brothers, James McCoy of Sherman and Ollie McCoy of Dallas.
Pallbearers were P.J. Waldrop, B.M. Whiteacre, George Smith, Grover Cantrell, Claude Whiteacre, and Clarence Bradshaw.
