Bryan A. Clayton died January 19, 2015 at home of natural causes.  He was born on December 10, 1958, the second son of Alfred R. and Bettye Jo (Green) Clayton.
A native of Sherman, Bryan attended Sherman schools, graduating from Sherman High School in 1977.  He was a valuable member of the SHS Bearcat football team throughout his high school years.  He then attended the University of Texas at Austin where he also participated in the football program.  He returned to Sherman in 1980, marrying and starting a family.  His career was spent working for a variety of Sherman industries, including LOF, Oscar Mayer and Sunny D.
Bryan is survived by his son and daughter, Cameron and Courtney of Sherman, and three grandchildren.  He is survived by his mother, Bettye Clayton; his brother and sister-in-law, Mark and Cathy Clayton; his niece, Catherine and his nephew, Thomas, all of Austin.  Bryan is also survived by his nephew and niece-in-law, Stephen and Erin Clayton and their children; his aunt and uncle, Mike and Kathryn Hicks, his aunt Margaret Grynwald all of Sherman, and leaves his aunt and uncle, Stanley and Lillian Clayton of Pasadena.  Bryan has numerous cousins in and around the larger DFW area.
Bryan is preceded in death by his father, Alfred R. Clayton; his paternal grandparents, M.S. and Allie B. Clayton, and his maternal grandparents, T.D. and Bert B. Green.
A visitation will be held on Friday, Jan. 30, from 6-8 p.m. at Waldo Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 31 at Waldo Funeral Home chapel with Pastor Steve Rice of the First Baptist Church of Sherman officiating.  Committal services will follow immediately at West Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
Services are under the direction of Waldo Funeral Home.
