MURDER VICTIM?

Sheriff W.P. Gifford of Sherman said he was confident the body of a woman found in a well near there was Mrs. N.O. Kreager, 80.  Mrs. Kreager has been missing from her home in Sherman since June 17 when she disappeared after drawing $9,000 from the bank.  The sheriff said the body had been covered heavily with lime and than taken to the well.

Sherman, Texas, May 27 - John C. Kreager, Sr., 82, landowner and stockman, died Monday from a heart attack suffered while sitting in his automobile here.
Funeral services were conducted Tuesday at the Walnut Street Church of Christ by Dr. A.R. Holton.  Burial was in West Hill Cemetery.
Surviving are 5 sons, Barney C. Kreager of San Antonio; Willis Kreager, Gainesville Church of Christ minister; John C. Kreager, Jr., of Sherman; Jim T. Kreager, Corsicana; and D.J. Kreager of Houston; four daughters, Mrs. Everette Knox of Sherman; Mrs. Thad Bookout of Dallas; Mrs. Millsap and Mrs. Herbert Hooker of Springdale, Arkansas; a sister, Mrs. John Fitzgerald of Denison; 27 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
