Mrs. Bertha Fritch, mother of Mrs. Laura Bevens of this city, died at her home in Denison Saturday morning at 4 o'clock, at the age of 73 years. She had been ill but a few days. Mrs. Fritch had at one time resided in Sherman, but had lived in Denison for a number of years prior to her death.
Funeral services took place Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Catholic church in Denison, after which the remains were brought to Sherman for interment in West Hill cemetery. 
Besides her daughter, Mrs. Bevens, of Sherman, the deceased is survived by two others daughters: Mrs. Lon Lowe and [Louisa] Mrs. B. J. Lindsay, of Denison, and a son, Charley Fritch, of Dallas. The members of the bereaved family will have the sincerest sympathy of all.

Another pioneer citizen has passed away.  Mr. Fritche, who has been an invalid for some time, died at the family home, 717 W. Crawford street.  Deceased was 74 years of age at the time of his death and is survived by his venerable wife and 4 children, C.E. Fritsche of Dallas; Mrs. J.L. Blevins of Sherman; Mrs. Jas. McMillin and Mrs. BJ. Lindsay of Denison.
Mr. Fritsche was a member of the German evangelical church and the IOOF.  After a short funeral service at the home, the remains were conveyed to Sherman for interment.
