Mrs. M.E. Walsh Dies at Sherman.

Special to the News - Sherman, Texas, July 22 - Mrs. M.E. Walsh, pioneer resident of Grayson County, died at 3 o'clock Friday morning folowing a long illness. Mrs. Walsh had lived here for the last thirty-six years.
Mrs. Walsh was born in Jackson County, Missouri, in 1849. She married Allen Key in Missouri in 1867, and following his death in 1877, came to Texas where she married W. J. Walsh of Grayson county in 1885. 
Mrs Walsh's brother and sister, Silas V. Dillingham of Grain Valley, Missouri; and Mrs. Robert Harra of Buckner, Missouri, visited her during her illness.

Besides Mr. Dillingham and Mrs. Harra, surviving relatives are two children : Mrs. Nora Key Weems, Sherman High School librarian, and Mrs. H. H. Fleming, both of Sherman.
Funeral Services were held from the Central Presbyterian Church Sunday afternoon at 4 o'clock, conducted by Rev. Atwood Hyde of Deport, assisted by Rev. S. W. Williams, pastor of the Travis Street Methodist Church. Burial was in West Hill Cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Henderson Melton, Dr. J.M. Weems, Dr. Wilbur Carter, Jack Grafton, A.Y. Creager and F.W. Hudson.
Honorary pallbearers were the official board of elders and trustees of the Central Presbyterian Church.
