NEWS BY SPECIALS
Sherman - A.S. Mangum, an old Texas citizen, has been very low but is now up by the proper care of his physicians, Drs. G.G. Stever and Fe-man.  The old gentleman was in the battle of San Jacinto.

Sherman - Aaron S. Mangum, whose sickness was mentioned a few days ago, passed to the spirit land Saturday and was followed to his tomb to-day by a large number of friends.  Mr. Mangum was, we..., was the last survivor of the bloody battle of Goliad and had been for several years one of the most honored ---dants on the reunions of old Texas soldiers, and old settlers in this...of the state.
