CONDENSED HOME NEWS
John Meredith committed suicide last Saturday night at the home of his daughter, Mrs. T.B. Willians, No. 1123 W. Bond St.  The instrument used was a razor, by gashing the throat almost from ear to ear.  The deed was evidently committed in the bath room and the final was in the front yard.  City Attorney E.J. Smith was attracted to the scene by the cries of "help!"  A physician was called, but the unfortunate man was beyond all help and died in 3 hours.  The deed no doubt was the result of temporary insanity caused by the death of his son, which occurred at Washington.  Mr. Meredith was formerly a cotton buyer at Sherman and was highly esteemed.  He had been in Denison only a few days.  The body was taken to Sherman for interment.
The deceased leaves a family.
