Andrew Bryant, Sr.
1937 - 2005

Wilma Jean Bryant was born March 26, 1935 in Denison, Texas to Charles Wilson and Myrtle Anderson Wilson.  She graduated from Terrell High School in 1952.  She remained in Denison where she became a pianist.
Her passion for music was discovered by her mother and uncel (Lonnie Wilson).  She was always singing and playing music on a No. 2 tub.  Her mother saw her desire and talent for music and decided to expose her to the piano, where she began to excel.  Her talent was so strong that her music teacher, Mrs. Lela Smith, realized Wilma could hear a song one time and play it by ear.
As she matured in her singing and playing, she began to play for Mt. Zion Baptist Church.  The first song she played was "What a Friend We Have in Jesus".  She was truly a faithful servant using her God given talent and gift to inspire and enhance the body of Christ.
She was an awesome mother to her children and her home was always open to all those who came to know her.  If you ever met WIlma, you loved her, she was so contagious.  She loved to have fun and make others laugh to much joy and happiness.
In 1954 Wilma married Leon Wigfall and later in 1960 she became Wilma Bryant when she married Andrew J. Bryant, Sr.  They were married for over 40 years before Andrew's death in 2005.
Mother Bryant passed away on Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at Texoma Medical Center.
She was preceded in death by her father and mother.
Left to uphold her legacy and embrace the unforgettable precious memories are her children: Darrell J. Wigfall, Yolanda Blackmon (Sammy); Andrew J. Bryant, Jr.; Dale Bryant (Leeora); and Tamara Golston (Michael); 7 grandchildren; and a host of great-grandchildren; siblings, Robert E. Wilson of Tucson, Arizona and Wesley McGee of Houston, Texas; sister cousin, Bobbie Anderson-Hayes; a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Wilma Jean passed away on Wednesday, October 24, 2018.  A Life Celebration was held at Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Denison on Saturday, November 3, 2018.  Interment followed at West Hill Cemetery in Sherman.
