LLOYD A. BELKNAP SERVICE MONDAY
Services were held Monday at Center Street Church of Christ for Lloyd A. Belknap, 56, of 809 W. Houston St., long-time employee of the city of Sherman, who died at 3:44 p.m. Saturday at a Dallas hospital after a short illness.
Services were conducted by Roy Hazelton, minister of the Parrland Church of Christ of Houston.  Burial was at West Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Belknap was born April 13, 1913 at Comanche County, son of Mr,. and Mrs. William David Belknap.  He was married to the former Helen Plumlee on April 2, 1938 at Whitesboro.  He had lived in Sherman for the last 28 years and had been an employee of the City of Sherman since 1944.  He was a water pump operator for the city for the past 18 years.  He was a charter member of the Center Street Church of Christ.
Survivors are his wife of Sherman; one son, Louis Belknap of Howe; one daughter, Mrs. Vade D. Keel of Sherman; 3 brothers, Andrew Belknap of Winters; Bertie Belknap of Ontario, California; and Everett Belknap of San Leandro, California; a foster sister, Mrs. Maudie Albert of Ft. Worth; 5 grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Dean Martin, Leon Rubarts, Tommy Lee, J.B. Lewis, Edgar Lee Doggett, Jr., and Delton Bledsoe.
