 West Hill Cemetery Sherman, Texas  Helen Whitfield Green 13 September 1919 - 6 February 2008 Irvin McKnight Green 13 December 1915 - 24 April 1976 Sherman Democrat Monday, April 26, 1976 Irvin M. Green Services were held Monday in Dannel Funeral Chapel for Irvin McKnight Green, 60, of 316 W. Taylor, who died Saturday night in a Sherman hospital following an extended illness. Rev. Johnnie Johnson of the First United Methodist Churvh of Howe officiated, with burial in West Hill Cemetery. Born in Ferris, Tex., he was the son of Ausker and Mary McKnight Green. He had been a resident of this area for 20 years, having moved here from Florida. He married Helen Whitfield June 2, 1940, in Rockwall. He attended public schools in Ferris and during his early years served as the district manager of Dr. Pepper Bottling Co. in Dallas. He later became an insurance salesman working for Reliable Insurance Co. and American National Insurance Co. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Howe. He is survived by his wife; son, Bob Green of Dallas; daughter, Mary Helen Robertson of Arlington; brothers, Charles Green of Ferris , Howrad Green of Nederland and Raymond Green of Daisetta; sister, Mrs. C.R. Farrar of Palmer and three grandchildren. Pallbearers were Lawrence Ferguson, Ormond Cowan, Linous Jarvis, Ralph Phillips, Garth McAllister and Milton McAllister.
