MRS. GEORGE HAMBLEN
Wife of City Marshal Passed Away at Early Hour Sunday Morning
Mrs. Ella Hamblen, wife of Fire Marshal George Hamblen, died Sunday morning at 2 o'clock, aged 55 years.  She is survived by her husband, two daughters, and a son.  The daughters are Mrs. Willie Cherry of Sherman and Mrs. Thomas Lamonica of Krum.  The son is Charles Hamblen of Krum.
Mrs. Hamblen was a good, true Christian woman, a faithful wife, loving mother and wise counsellor, and enjoyed the friendship of a large number of friends here and elsewhere.  All who knew her admired her sterling Christian character and innate gentleness and kindly ways.  She was the faithful friend of the firemen and they sorrow deeply at her passing from among them.
Funeral services were conducted yesterday afternoon at the family home, 109 East Cherry street, by the Rev. Dr. Pierce, pastor of Travis Street Methodist Church.
To the bereaved husband and children a host of friends extend the sincerest sympathy.
