Stephens Funeral to Be Conducted Wednesday
(Special to The News)
Denison, Texas, Nov. 12 - Funeral services for Charles E. Stephens, pioneer Grayson County nurseryman who died Monday, will be held at the family home at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dr. S.L. Terry, Presbyterian minister, officiating.  Burial will take place in West Hill Cemetery, Sherman, in the family plot.
Mr. Stephens was widely known for his interest in school and church affairs and his private philanthropies. Following his fiftieth anniversary of residency in Denison a few years ago, Mr. Stephens turned his business over to his oldest son, Harry, and spent his time in traveling with his wife.  They spent last summer in California and other Western States.
