Walker 11 June 1912 - 21 May 1974 SA US Navy  Sherman Democrat July 7, 1994 A-6 Services for Alice Lorene Walker, 79-year-old Wesley Village resident and former Gibson's employee, were held at 10 a.m. Friday in Waldo Funeral Chapel. She died Tuesday at a Denison hospital. Dr. James Pledger of the First United Methodist Church and Rev. Bob Allen of Trinity Baptist Church officiated. Burial was in West Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Walker was born in Luella, the daughter of William Lloyd Curry and Katherine Belle Alsup Curry. She attended Dorchester schools. On August 13, 1938, she married Andrew J. Walker in Oklahoma. She had been an employee of McClellan's Department Store and retired from Gibson's. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church. Pallbearers were Robert Richardson, Robert Edward Lee Richardson, Clint Sonnamaker, Byron McDaniel, Clarence Gilchrist and Herman Beall. Surviving are her son, Michael Walker of Cincinnati, Ohio; brother, Alva L. Curry of Tucson, Arizonz; sister, Euna Griffith of Richland Hills; and three grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Trinity Baptist Church, 2627 Loy Lake Road, Sherman, 75091.
