Will Wright, 83 years old, died Saturday night at the home of his daughter, Mrs. W. K. Conwell, 1518 South Walnut street.  Funeral services were held Sunday evening from the residence with J.P. Sanders, pastor of the Walnut Street Church of Christ in charge.  Interment was at West Hill cemetery under the direction of the Dannel-Scott Funeral home.
Survivors include 2 daughters, Mrs. Tom Watts of Van Alstyne and Mrs. Conwell; one son, Tom Wright, of California; 18 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.  Wright was a member of the Church of Christ.
Pallbearers were E.W. Jarnagan, J.R. Jarnagan and G.H. Conwell of Dallas; Fred Crecy, Adrian Allen and Clarence Carruth of Sherman.
Mr. Wright came to Texas from Georgia 54 years ago and made his home in Sherman, later moving to Van Alstyne where he lived 28 years. He then moved back to Sherman and lived here until the time of his death.

Resident of Sherman 62 Years Is Dead

Funeral services for Joshua A. Wright, 73, of 812 East Chaffin, resident of Sherman 62 years and retired welding shop operator, who died at 6 p.m. Saturday at a local hospital, were held at this afternoon at the John C. Dannel Chapel. Rev. L.O. Evans, pastor of the East Sherman Baptist Church, officiated.  Burial was in West Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers were Burt Bond, Fletcher Stalcup, Ray Hall, Clarence Foreman, Dee Downer, Floyd Pinkston, James Eastland and Robert Earl Bond.
Mr. Wright was born October 15, 1872 in Denton county, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Wright. He came to Sherman in 1884, attended public schools and the old Capt. LeTellier's Academy here. He and Miss Jane Spencer were married in Wise county March 18, 1894.
Employed by the Washington Iron Works and Interstate & Refining Co. many years, he opened his own welding shop in 1922. He retired in 1936 due to ill health.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Earl Wright of Sherman; 8 daughters, Mrs. Bert Bond of Sherman; Mrs. Fletcher Stalcup of Denison; Mrs. Walter Bailey of Los Angeles; Mrs. Floyd Pinkston of Denton; Mrs. Clarence Foreman of Denison; Mrs. James Eastland of Houston; Mrs. D.T. Downey and Mrs. Ray Hall, both of Ft. Worth; a brother, James Wright of Sherman; a sister, Mrs. C. Rogers of Sherman and 18 grandchildren.

One-Week Illness Fatal To James Wright, 78

James Wright, 78, South Bryant St., died early Thursday in a local hospital after an illness of one week.
Funeral services were held Friday afternoon in Waldo Chapel with Rev. Claud Johnston, pastor of North Park Baptist Church, officiating.  Burial was in West Hill Cemetery.
A bachelor and retired farmer, Wright was a native of Denton County. He had lived in Sherman 72 years.
He is survived by his sister, Mrs. C. Rogers, Sherman, a nephew and 9 nieces.
