McCoy 17 March 1916 - 17 November 1975 Alfred Hale McCoy 7 October 1904 - 24 October 1966    Bennie Lee McCoy was born September 1, 1938 in Paris, Texas, son of Alfred Hale and Lorena McCoy. He passed to be with the Lord on September 14, 2017. Funeral services were held Thursday, September 21, 2017 at Dannell Funeral Home; burial followed at West Hill Cemetery. Eulogy was given by Jared Pruitt. Pallbearers were Jason Pruitt, Jose Ramos, Mark Garland, Jared Pruitt, Clinton Pruitt, and Mark Garland, Jr. Bennie served 4 years in the U.S. Army, 1956 - 1960. He retired from the Sherman Post Office after 43 years of service. He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 sisters, Dorothy Waldrop and Linda Hiberd; son, Gregory Pruitt; brothers-in-law, Charles Schultz and James Hiberd; son-in-law, Jeffreye Simmons; and granddaughter, Ashlyn Belcher. He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Charlotte Ann McCoy; son, Leslie Pruitt and wife Regina of Denison; sister, Sadie Schultz of Houston; daughters, Angie Ramos and husband, Jose, of Nogal, New Mexico; Kristi McCoy Garland of Ivanhoe, Texas; Mandy Belcher of Granbury, Texas; Carlynne Pruitt of Denison; Nikkie Garland and husband, Mark, of Sherman; grandchildren, Krystal Kemp and husband, Chance, of Denison; Jared Pruitt and wife, Shelby, of Jacksonville, Florida; Cassie Heathcock and Dale Johnson of Justin; Jason Pruitt and wife, Kristin, of Sherman; Kristin Avila and husband, Abel, of Carrizozo, New Mexico; Clinton Pruitt of Denison; Patrick Ramos of Nogal, New Mexico; Chelsea Pruitt and wife, Chelsey, of Denison; Courtney Belcher of Sherman; Mark Garland, Jr. and wife, Harlie, of Denison; Dalton Strittmatter of Denison; Brittany Simmons of Granbury; and Payton Garland of Sherman; 16 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
