Greene 1876 - 1943 Van Alstyne Leader July 25, 1947 P.4 Henry Alfred Greene Buried Sunday Funeral Services for Henry Alfred Greene, 73, a retired farmer, who died at Whitesboro, Friday at 10:15 p.m., were held at the Central Baptist Church in Sherman Sunday at 3 p.m., conducted by the Rev. George Sullivan and Rev. J. A. Ellis. Burial was in the West Hill Cemetery directed by the Fox-Fanning Funeral Home. Pallbearers were A. H. Farmer, Sherman; Case Dobbins, Homer Bowden of Van Alstyne; Alford and Murray Cavender, Howe and Royce Austin of Gunter. Born December 22, 1873 in Wilmer, the son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Greene, he was a life time resident of Texas. He was a member of the Baptist Church. Survivors include two sons; Lawrence Greene of Howe and Guy Greene of Sherman; four grandchildren and one great grandchild.
