Sherman- Funeral Services for Mary Louise (Miller) Bernard will be 2:30pm Tuesday, November 8, 2011 at Waldo Funeral Home chapel with Matthew Bernard, Bro. Jeremy Woods, and Bro. Kevin George officiating. Interment will follow at West Hill Cemetery with Jeff Brawner, Eric Bernard, Matthew Bernard, Jacob Blackwell, Kegan Brawner, and Andy Sutherlin serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Mrs. Bernard's remaining great grandchildren. Family visitation will be Monday evening from 6-8 pm at the funeral home.

Mary Louise Miller was born July 8, 1929 in Howe, Texas to Joseph Edward Miller and Lillie May (Hopper) Miller and went to her eternal home Saturday, November 5, 2011 from Carrus Specialty Hospital in Sherman at the age of 82. She married the love of her life, T.R. Bernard, on June 21, 1947 in Whitesboro. She worked as a homemaker all of her life raising their children and taking special care of her husband. She has been a member of the Calvary Baptist Church since 1963. She loved watching sports and was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys and Texas Rangers. Mrs. Bernard had such a caring spirit, that she took precious care of her mother in the last twenty years of her life day and night.
Mrs. Bernard was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Andrew, Robert, Holland, and Billy Don Miller; and a sister Loy Mayo.
She is survived by her loving family; husband T.R., of over 64 years, son Mike Bernard and wife Nancy of Sherman, daughter Phyllis Browder and husband Bill of Savoy, son Alan Bernard and wife Terri of Denison, son Kris Bernard and wife Linda of McKinney; brother Freddie Miller of Sherman; grandchildren Malina (Bernard) Aleman and husband Chico of Sherman, Eric Bernard and wife Hollie of Sherman, Jeffrey Brawner and wife Liz of Savoy, Crystal Blackwell and husband Rhett of Sherman, Courtney Sutherlin and husband Andy of Keller, Jennifer Brem of Anna, Matthew Bernard and wife Jymi of Ft. Gordon, GA, Justin Tyler of Sherman, Gentry Babin and husband Cary of Sherman, and Jared Bernard of McKinney; and fifteen great grandchildren.
The entire family of Mary Bernard want to extend a heartfelt appreciation for the excellent care that was given to Mary, and the caring support they received from Carrus Specialty Hospital ICU staff.
