Graveside services for Cagle Barrett Ford, 79 year old Sherman resident, will be held at 10:30 a.m. today in West Hill Cemetery. He died Sunday in a Sherman hospital.
Joe Ed Furr of Travis Street Church of Christ will officiate, with arrangements under the direction of Dannel Funeral Home.
Mr. Ford was born in Grayson County the son of Earl C. and Effie Barrett Ford; and attended Grayson County Schools. He married Della Blance Orr on March 22, 1935.
He had owned and operated laundries in this area for about 35 years and was a member of the Travis Street Church of Christ.
Surviving are his wife; daughter, Linda Kay Williams of Alton, Illinois; and two grandchildren.


Sherman - Graveside services for Della Blanche Ford, 92 of Sherman, who died on Sunday, January 27, 2002, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, January 30, 2002, Tim Tarbet of Parkview Church of Christ will officate.  
Dannel Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Ford was born in Luella, the daughter of Harry E. Orr and Lillie Porter Orr on January 14, 1910. She attended school in Luella and Howe and graduated from Sherman High School. In later years, she attended Grayson College and took courses in art and painting. Mrs. Ford was an exceptional artist. She also enjoyed knitting and crocheting and quilting. She also loved playing "42" at the Finley Playhouse and was endeared to her friends at the Adult Socials. She began attending the Walnut Street Church of Christ and remained a faithful member of the Church of Christ for over 70 years.
On March 22, 1935, she married Cagle Barrett Ford in Sherman, and for over 35 years, Mr. and Mrs. Ford operated laundries in the Sherman area. Mr. Ford preceded his wife in death on January 7, 1990.
Preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers, Lee Orr and Colquitt "Nug" Orr; granddaughter, Monika Eads.
Mrs. Ford is survived by her daughter, Linda Williams of Alton, Illinois; brother, Bill Orr of Durant, Oklahoma; two sisters, Ruby Kumler and Betty Dalton of Sherman; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
