RITES HELD FOR COLMESNEIL NATIVE, DR. CARL ENLOE
Carl Enloe, prominent doctor of Sherman for many years, passed away Tuesday, November 5.  He was connected with a clinic in his home town and had received much recognition as a surgeon with membership in the American College of Surgeons and the International College of Surgeons.  Dr, Enloe also spent several summers on study tours in his profession, such as the Mediterranian and The World Study Tours, as well as in countries of Europe.
Carl was born at the old family home near Colmesneil, son of John and Nannie Barnes Enloe and was the oldest of 8 children.  After graduating at Sam Houston Normal in Huntsville, he entered medical college at Galveston and futhered his study in Washington, D.C.  He served in the medical corps in the U.S. Army during World War I, and later contributed distinguished leadership as a citizen of Sherman in civic, professional and church life.
Dr, Enloe married Frances Hall of Sherman in 1925.  Their daughter, Mrs. Eleanor Kavsor, and her family live in Shreveport.
Survivors are his wife and daughter; 4 sisters, Mrs. B.A. Woods of Kirbyville, Mississippi; Mrs. Ruth Crews and Betty Enloe of Colmesneil; and Mrs. Gladys Courtney of Bryan; and two brothers, Dr. Jewell Enloe of Bryan and George Enloe of Chester
