Mrs. Durward Bartlett, 58, of 3195 E. Houston, died Saturday, December 1, 1979 at a local hospital.  Fry and Gibbs Funeral Home transferred the body to Waldo Funeral Home in Sherman where services were held Monday.  Interment was made in West  Hill Cemetery.
Elizabeth Recknor Bartlett was born in Buffalo, Texas on April 1, 1921, a daughter of Frank D. Recknor and Jessie L. McDonald Recknor.  She married Durward Bartlett in Gunter on November 30, 1939.
She attended schools at Gunter and North Texas State University.  She was a former resident of Sherman and had made her home in Paris for the past 20 years while her husband was a manager of the S.H. Kress Store.  She was a member of the First Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband; one son, Frank D. Bartlett of Paris; and her parents who live in Gunter.



Marian Frances Bartlett, 76, of Paris passed away Monday, July 8, 2013 at Paris Regional Medical Center. A Mass of Christian Burial wsd held Thursday morning, July 11, at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church with Father Morgan White officiating.  Burial followed at West Hill cemetery in Sherman, Texas.
She was born May 29, 1937 in New Orleans, Louisiana, a daughter of Clarence F. and Maria Callico Wragge. She married Durward Bartlett in 1981. She was a sales manager for S.H. Kress & Co. and a member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Durward, in 2008; and a sister, Betty Maus.
She is survived by sisters, Lorraine Rabalais, Marie Brock, Joyce Savoca; nieces Rhonda (Rabalais) Audiffred, Karen (Rabalais) Simmons and numerous other nieces and nephews.



Durward Wiley Bartlett, 90, of Paris passed away at Paris Regional Medical Center. Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home  conducted graveside services Saturday morning, September 20, 2008 in West Hill Cemetery in Sherman with Rev. Bobby Layman of Greenville officiating.
He was born May 27, 1918 in Gunter, a son of James Wiley and Lottie Stoffregen Bartlett. He graduated from Gunter High School and later from North Texas State Teachers College in 1939. He taught school in Gunter as a Science and Math teacher. He later worked for S.H. Kress & Co. and Bartlett Drilling Co. He served his country in the Navy during World War II. He was married to Elizabeth Recknor in 1939 until her death in 1979. He later married Marian Wragge in New Orleans, Louisiana on April 24, 1981. He was of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Jack Bartlett; a sister, Doris Raulston and brother-in-law, Dean Raulston.
He is survived by his wife, Marian; son, Frank Bartlett; sister-in-law, Wanda Bartlett; nephews, Mark Bartlett and wife, Kathy; and Dean Bartlett and wife, Lisa.
