Sherman - Wanda Lee Scales, 78, of Sherman passed away Saturday, January 15, 2011 [sic] in Little Elm.  Services were held Saturday morning at Friendly Church of Christ in Sherman.  Rev. Craig A. Davis, Sr. officiated.  Interment followed at West Hill Cemetery.
Ms. Scales is survived by her son, McKinley (Spruce) Keller Lynn of Sherman; daughters, Krysynthia Keller-Rido of Friendswood; Laronda Scales of Mesquite; and Tasana Scales-Jordan of Little Elm; 14 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Sherman - A Celebration of LIfe was held for Ms. Wanda Lee Scales, 78, Saturday morning, January 22, 2011 at Friendly Church of Christ, Sherman.  Bishop T.W. Johnson hosted the service along with Rev. Fred Thomas officiating and Rev. Craig A. Davis, Sr. proclaimed the celebratory message.
Wanda Lee was born September 11, 1932 in Sherman, daughter of Ollie Lee and Theora Davison.  She was the youngest of 4 children.  She attended Fred Douglas High where she was a proud member of the graduating class of 1951.
Wanda was a lifelong member of the Friendly C.O.G.I.C. under the leadership of Bishop T.W. Johnson.  Her servanthood for the Lord was the Home Foreign Mission Ministry as well as the senior choir for many years.
She was employed with Texas Instruments, where she was a diligent and profound operator.  She was also an accredited daycare provider, caring for children in her home for over a decade.  Wanda's children gave her the gift of early retirement for the past 20 plus years of her life to gracefully enjoy in abundance.
On Saturday, January 15, 2011 [sic] while lying in perfect harmony at the home of her youngest daughter, and with all 4 of her children at her bedside, Wanda Lee Scales peaceefully entered eternal life.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Lorenzo (L.W.) Davison and Ollie (Ollie Con) Davison, Jr.; and sister, Jeanetta Bowens.
She is survived by her son, McKinley (Spruce) Keller and wife, Lynn, of Sherman; daughters, Krysynthia Keller-Rido and husband, Nathaniel Rido, of Friendswood; Laronda Scales of Mesquite; and Tasana Scales-Jordan and husband, Jerry Jordan, of Little Elm; 14 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
For the arrangements of her Life Celebration the family of Mrs. Wanda Lee Scales chose to receive personal care from the Cravens Funeral Home.
