 Graveside services for Lorine M. Cook, age 96, of Sherman, TX will be held at 10:00 AM Monday, July 25, 2011 at the West Hill Cemetery in Sherman, TX. Rev. Joe Ed Goolsby will officiate. Arrangements are under the direction of Waldo Funeral Home in Sherman. Lorine passed away on Thursday, July 21, 2011 at the Homestead of Sherman. She was born on May 28, 1915 in Van Alstyne, TX the daughter of John N. and Agnes Parker Moore. She graduated from Van Alstyne High School in 1935 and then attended Business College in McKinney, TX. She married Bascom Cook on April 21, 1940 in Durant, OK. He preceded her in death on July 24, 1960. Lorine retired from Con Agra in 1980 after working for over 23 years. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Sherman, the American Legion Auxiliary for 48 years, and she was a past member of the Am Vets. Lorine is survived by her longtime friend, Helen Phelps and her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one brother and one sister. Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 24th from 1:00PM to 5:00 PM at Waldo Funeral Home.
