Paul B. Boren passed from this earth to be with the Lord on June 25, 2008.  Paul was born in Denison in the Hyde Park community on April 4, 1915, son of Lieu Combs Boren and John Edward Boren.  He was the second born of 4 children.  He attended Denison schools.  On May 9, 1957 he married Martha Jane Jennings in Sherman.
Paul joined the U.S. Navy during World War II.  Following his discharge, he worked in construction for several years.  He also helped with the construction of the Denison Dam.  After he and Martha married, he moved to Sherman where he was employed at several different service stations before opening his own business.  He owned and operated Boren Car Clean Center at the corner of Walnut and Pecan for several years.  Paul was a member of Faith Church in Sherman.
Services for Mr. Boren were held at Faith Church Saturday morning, June 28, 2008 with Rev. Charles E. Glass officiating.  Burial followed at West Hill Cemetery with Tom Bragg, David Jarvis, Don Campbell, Anthony Powell, David Taylor and Ed Pearson serving as pallbearers.  Arrangements were under the direction of Waldo Funeral Home in Sherman.
Paul is survived by his wife of the home, in addition to sons, James Richard Boren and wife, Dorothy, of Denison; Charles Ray Boren and wife, Mary, of New Braunfels; Joe William Boren and wife, Darlene, of Marshall; and Paul Edward Boren and wife, Sherry, of Sherman; 7 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Brenda; granddaughter, Laura Christine Boren Thomas; grandson, John Boren; great-grandchildren, Andre Lee Boren and Leyha Marie Hughes; 3 brothers, Charles Otto, Delbert and Frank Boren.
In lieu of flowers, if desired memorials may be made to the building fund at Faith Church, P.O. Box 1061, Sherman, Texas 75091.


Martha Jane Jennings Boren passed from this earth to be with the Lord on October 3, 2017.
Martha was born in Montague, Texas on March 18, 1932, daughter of Maud Elear Nations Jennings and James Lee Jennings.  She was the second of 3 children.  She began school at the Muenster public school in Muenster, Texas, where she attended until her family moved to Sherman.  After moving to Sherman, she attended Washington School and graduated from Sherman High School in 1949.  She married Paul B. Boren on May 9, 1957.
Martha was employed by the USDA Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Service in Sherman for 32 years.  After retiring she worked for the Upper Elm Red Soil and Water Conservation District, the Family Credit Union and Texoma Educators Federal Credit Union where she was a teller until 2005.  For the past several years, she had been a volunteerat the Grayson County Home Hospice of Sherman.  Martha was a member of Faith Church in Sherman.
Services for Mrs. Boren were held at Faith Church October 6, 2017 with Rev. Ryan Cernero officiating.  Burial followed at West Hill Cemetery with Tom Bragg, David Jarvis, Don Campbell, Caleb Dupuis, David Taylor and Jerry Camacho serving as pallbearers.  Honorary pallbearers were Bobby Richerson, Anthony Powell, and Thom Bolin.
Mrs. Boren is survived by her son, Joe W. Boren of Sherman; son, Paul E. Boren and wife, Sherry, of Sherman; son, James R. Boren and wife, Dorothy, of Denison; son, Charles R. Boren and wife, Mary, of New Braunfels; and Bertti Jo Dunkel of Sherman; 9 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; 14 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; granddaughter, Laura Christine Boren Thomas; great-grandchildren, Andre Lee Boren and Leyha Marie Hughes; grandson, John Boren; 2 sisters, Ruby Lee Attile and Mae Dell Eidman.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Grayson County Home Hospice, 505 W. Center Street, Sherman, Texas 75090.
