Roy Covey, buried next to Enoch Jacob Covey at West Hill, died on
October 16, 1916, not long after his first birthday. Neither of
them have headstones there, but they are in a plot surrounded by
concrete with the name "Covey" on a step-up to the gravesites. Sherman Daily Democrat Tuesday, October 10, 1916 pg.5 Roy Shelton Covey, 18-months old son of Mr. and Mrs. E.J. Covey of No. 803 North Wood Street, died this morning at an early hour. Burial was in West Hill Cemetery this afternoon. Services were conducted by Rev. J.H. Reynolds of the Southern Methodist Church.
