September 2, 1888 SHERMAN SIFTINGS Wm. M. Wallace died this morning from peritonitis, superinduced by a bruise incurred in running against a plow-handle. He was 25 years old. He held the position of second lieutenant in the Grayson rifles, was first assistant chief of the Sherman fire department and an active member of the local democratic club.
