Mrs. Mary Turley dies at Home in Sherman

Sherman, Texas, Jan 14 - Mrs. Mary Turley, wife of W.W. Turley, who for half a century has been prominently identified with the business and religous life of this city, died suddenly at her home Wednesday evening at 7:10 o'clock, following a stroke of paralysis earlier in the day.
Mrs. Turley was born in Kentucky March 15, 1855, and was married in that state June 27, 1872, a little later coming to Texas.
She is survived by her husband; two sons, Aaron and A.G. (Gus) Turley, Sherman; a daughter, Mrs. L.E. Phipps, Ft Worth; two sisters, Mrs. Ellen Kinmon, Dallas; and Mrs. Nancy E. Long, Wrights, Illinois; one brother, Jeff Crecy, Van Zandt County; and 9 grandchildren, all of whom were at her bedside. 
Funeral services tooke place in East Sherman Baptist Church Friday afternoon, conducted by the pastor, Rev. C.A. Baxter, assisted by Rev. J.W. Hollums, Cushing , Oklahoma and Rev. Ernest Rylant, Ladonia.
