 West Hill Cemetery Sherman, Texas  F. W. Rothe, Sr 1850 - 1925 Dallas Morning News Saturday, September 19, 1925 Part 1, p. 7 Sherman, Texas, Sept. 18. - F. W. Rothe, superintendent of the Sherman Oil Mill for 27 years, died at 12:30 a.m. Friday. He was the oldest oil mill superintendent in the South, serving in that capacity 57 years. He was born in Collinsville, Illinois in 1850 and moved to Alabama and thence to Texas. He was member of Travis Lodge 117 and Sherman Chapter 62, R. A. M. and Invisible Friends K.T.13. The funeral will be held in Sherman Friday at 4 p.m. at the home of his son at 412 South Elm. The Masonic fraternity will officiate.
