Mrs. Mary Dale Fownes Dies at Sherman

Sherman, Texas, Nov. 1 - Mrs. Mary Dale Biggs Fownes, 39 years old, wife of Henry Gaither Fownes of Pittsburgh, Pa., and daughter of Mrs and Mrs. James Biggs of this city, dies here Sunday.
Funeral services will be held from the home of her parents, 826 South Travis Street, Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, conducted by Dr. T.A. Wharton, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church; the Rev. Emmet Davison of the Central Christian Church and the Rev. Joseph B. Dobbins of the St. Stephens's Episcopal Church, Burial will be in West Hill Cemetery.
She is survived by her husband and three children, William Clark Fownes III, 7; Dorothy Dale Fownes, 5; and Henry Gaither Fownes Jr,. 3. Besides her parents, she is also survived by the following brothers and sisters: Miss Dorothy Biggs, Sherman; James Edward Biggs, Waco; Jerome Young Biggs, student at Princeton University and John Biggs, who is attending school at the Virginia Military Institute.
Mrs. Fownes was married in 1918.
