FUNERAL ARRANGED FOR A.E. CLARK
Archer Evander Clark, Sr., 75, a farmer and stockman in this section for 46 years, died Monday at his home on Denison route 3, in the White Rock community, 6 miles north of Sherman.  He had been critically ill for 10 days.
Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at the Kerr Chapel in the White Rock community.  Rev. J.E. King, Rev. Ray Short and Rev. Shelby West, pastor, officiated.  Burial was in West Hill Cemetery under the direction of Talley.  Sons were pallbearers.
Mr. Clark was born December 4, 1864 in Blue Mountain, Mississiippi.  His father was killed in the battle of Shiloh during the Civil War.  His mother died when he was 3 years old and he was reared by his grandfather.  He married Miss Ardenia Rutherford in Blue Mountain, and they came to the White Rock Community 46 years ago.
Mr. Clark was a senior deacon, Sunday School superintendent and active leader in the Kerr Chapel church.
Surviving are his widow; 7 sons, Earl, W.R. and Walter Clark, all of Sherman, route 3; Rutherford Clark of Dallas; John and Oren Clark of Denison, route 3; and Hugh Clark of Big Spring; a daughter, Mrs. G.E. Davis of the home; a number of grandchildren and one great-grandchild.  Another son, Ed Clark, died last Thanksgiving at Menard.

LONG ILLNESS FATAL TO MRS. ARDENIA IRENE CLARK
Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon in Barrett Funeral Chapel for Mrs. Ardenia Irene Clark, 88, of route 2, Denison, who died in a Sherman hspital Tuesday afternoon after an illnes of 2-1/2 years.  Rev. Clyde Beck, pastor of Kerr Chapel Baptist Church, officiated.  Rev. Joe Griffin and Rev. John King, Baptist ministers assisted.  Grandsons were pallbearers and burial was in West Hill Cemetery.
Born in Blue Mountain, Mississippi, Mrs. Clark came to Texas 59 years ago.  She was the wife of the lat A.E. Clark.  She was graduated from Blue Mountain College for Girls and was a member of the Baptist church.
Survivors include 5 sons, Rutherford R. Clark; John J. Clark; Walter M. Clark; and Oran H. Clark, all of Sherman; and Hugh B. Clark of Weatherford; a daughter, Mrs. G.E. Davis of Dallas; and 16 grandchildren.
