Friday, October 23, 1914 pg. 1 While A. Hanson and his son-in-law, Walter Weihs, two well known citizens of Sherman, were driving along the country road near the Sherman Rod and Gun Club's property last Thursday, a shot gun they had in their possession fell from the buggy, exploding the shell. Weihs was fatally shot and died Friday. Mr. Hanson was also badly wounded, a portion of the shot entering his arm.
