Services for Plas Wilson Wynne, 61-years-old retired truck driver of 927 N. Woods who died Wednesday at Wilson N. Jones Hospital, will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at the First Presbyterian Church.  The Rev. William C. Poe will officiate and burial will be in West Hill Cemetery. Arrangements are by Wald Funeral Home.
Mr. Wynne was born in Tullahoma, Tenn., a son of Plas Thomas Wynne and Alma Owens Wynne and married Bobbye Williams on Sept. 16, 1951 in Rossville, Ga. They moved to Sherman in 1956.
He attended public schools in Stevenson, Ala., and graduated from Winchester, Tenn., High School. He served in the U.S.Army Air Corps from 1945 to 1949, serving in Germany during World War I.
He retired from Yellow Freight Co. in 1978 after 28-years of service and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Sherman Post 2772 and the First Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are his wife; sons, Tally Wilson Wynne, Michael Cleveland Wynne and Mitchell Kent Wynne, all of Sherman; brother, Thomas Owens Wynne of Cowan, Tenn.; sister, Sara Ruth Lovelady of Stevenson, Ala; and four grandchildren.
The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday and other times at the family residence, 927 N. Woods.
Pallbearers will be Loyd Laughlin, Lou Stogner, Glenn Bell, Earl Hopper, Doug Norris, Richard Orr and Johnny Mac Bell.
The family requests memorials be made to the First Presbyterian Church.
