Sherman, Texas, April 6 - Mrs. Nannie Bell Parker, 42 years of age, wife of C.F. Parker of this city, died at the family residence on East Cherry street Saturday afternoon at 5 o'clock after an illness of only six days.  Mrs. Parker had been ill with the grip, but had almost entirely recovered from this ailment when she was suddenly taken with pneumonia, living only a short time after being attacked by the disease.
Besides a husband, she leaves one son, a small by about 10 years of age.
Burial was in West Hill Cemetery yesterday afternoon, following services at the residence, conducted by Rev. Forrest Smith, pastor of the First Baptist Church of which the deceased had long been a member.
Mr. Parker, the husband, is a fireman in the service of the Cotton Belt Railway, and is on the local switch engine.  He has the sympathy of a large circle of friends.

FUNERAL OF C.F. PARKER
Funeral Services for C.F. Parker were held Sunday afternoon at 4 o'clock from the late home, 519 S. Willow street, under the auspices of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Firemen and conducted by Dr. T.L. Holcomb, pastor First Baptist Church and Rev. Jap Manton of the Central Presbyterian Church.
A large number of friends and relatives from Dallas, Texarkana and Commerce came to pay their last respects to one whom they loved and esteemed.
Pallbearers were S.M. James, C.L. Prigmore, G.G. Liston, W.C. Hathaway, M.D. Waller and J.C. Melroy.
Burial was in West Hill Cemetery.

We wish to kindly thank all the friends for their kindness and words of sympathy and the beautiful floral offering in our recent bereavement, and especially to the Brotherhood of Locomotive Firemen of Commerce, Texarakan, and Sherman, the doctors and nurses and all at Cotton Belt Hospital, also Mr. J.S. Melroy of Texarkana.
