Edgar Cook Died in Kansas Monday
Former Sherman Man Prominent in Business and Social Way


Sherman, Nov 8 - Edgar Cook, son of Mr. and Mrs. T.C. Cook of this city, died in Kansas City at 10 o'clock Monday morning following an illness of several months.  He was 26 years of age.
The body was shipped to Sherman for burial and funeral services will be held at 3 o'clock Wednesday afternoon from the East Sherman Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. Joseph Pearce, pastor.  Interment will be in West Hill Cemetery under the auspices of the local Elks Lodge, of which order Mr. Cook was a member.
Mr. Cook is survived by his wife and a little daughter, by his parents; three brothers, Bennett, V.W. and Pierce Cook of Sherman; and four sisters, Misses Kathleen, Lillian and Ella Cook of Sherman and Mrs. W.T. Clark of Pratt, Kan.
Mr. Cook was reared and educated in Sherman and was connected for several years with Nall's Drug Store and other local business firms.  He left Sherman about seven years ago and for the greater part of the time since then had lived in Kansas City.  He had many friends in Sherman and the news of his death was received here with much regret.
