Mrs. Charles Jaresh
Mrs. Antonio Martinek Jaresh, 53, wife of Charles Jaresh of Dorchester route 1, died Thursday at 2:30 p.m. at a local hospital after four days illness.
Rites were to be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the Talley chapel conducted by the Rev. Claud Johnston, pastor of the North Park Baptist church.  Burial was to be in West Hill cemetery.
Mrs. Jaresh was born April 22, 1888, in Czechoslovakia, a daughter of Frank and Annie Borake Martinek.  She came to this country 48 years ago and settled in Wisconsin.  She came to the Dorchester community 23 years ago from Ellis county.
She is survived by her husband, four sons, C.J. and James Jaresh of Gunter; E.M. Jaresh of Deniosn, and E.F. of Dorchester; a daughter, Miss Helen Jaresh of the home; four brothers, F.W. Martinek of Ennis, John Martinek of Dorchester route 1, Charles Martinek of Fort Worth and Jim Martinek of Gunter; two sisters, Mrs. F.L. Hejney and Mrs. Barbara Vlk, both of Ennis.

Dorchester - Funeral services for Charles Jaresh, 73, Dorchester route one, will be held at 3 p.m. Friday in the Barrett Funeral Chapel, Sherman. Mr. Jaresh died at 4 p.m. Wednesday in a Wichita Falls hospital after an illness of two years.  
The Rev. Bobby Layman, Baptist minister of Dorchester, and the Rev. A.W. Blaine, pastor of North Park Baptist Church, Sherman, will conduct the services.  Burial will be in West Hill Cemetery, Sherman.
 
Mr. Jaresh was born Jan. 20, 1888, in Ennis, the son of Thomas and Kathylene Jaresh. In 1918 he married Daisey Hejny. He came to Dorchester from Ennis 43 years ago and farmed until his retirement in 1941. 
The family will be at the funeral home from 9 to 10 a.m.  Survivors are his wife; four sons, Charles of Gunter, E.M. of Sherman, and James and E.F., both of Dorchester; a daughter, Mrs. Joe Weber of Dorchester; a step-daughter, Mrs. Homer Turney of Quitman; two brothers, Ed Jaresh of Dorchester and Frank Jaresh of Tioga; two sisters, Mrs. Lewis Dozalek of Dorchester and Mrs. Annie Colter of Hollywood, Calif.; nine grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.
