SHERMAN BUSINESS MAN DIED LAST NIGHT
Sherman, Texas, Oct. 3 - Ernest Arnoldi, cashier of the Sherman Ice Company, and one of the best known young business men of the city, died at his home at 303 North Grand Avenue at 10:00 o'clock last evening, following a long illness with a complication of diseases.  Mr. Arnoldi was 41 years of age at the time of his death.
Funeral services are taking place at 4:30 o'clock this afternoon from the late residence, with Dr. T.A. Wharton of the First Presbyterian Church and Rev. W.J. Miller of St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, officiating. Burial will be in West Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Arnoldi is survived by his wife and one daughter, Miss Gladys Arnoldi; also by his mother, Mrs. Minnie Arnoldi, and a sister, Mrs. J.P. Everheart, both of Sherman.  He was the son of the late Ernst Arnoldi Sr., pioneer business man of Sherman and organizer and for many years president of the Sherman Ice Company.  Mr. Arnoldi was reared and educated in Sherman and has spent practically all of his life here.
Mr. Arnoldi was for a number of years Chief of the Sherman Fire Department.  He was a citizen at all times interested in the civic welfare of the community.
News of Mr. Arnoldi's death last night was received with genuine sorrow and regret throughout the city this morning.  He was well known and universally regarded for his true gentlemanly qualities.  The members of the bereaved family will have the sympathy of all in their hour of sorrow.
