DEATH OF FORMER MARSHALL PASTOR
Rev. Whitehurst, a former pastor of the First Methodist Church, Marshall died at Jasper, Texas, October 14, and was taken to Sherman for burial.
He was pastor of the church at Jasper.  His death was very sudden.  His many friends and former parishioners here will be saddened to hear of his death.

DIES IN NEW YORK
A telephone call Tuesday night to Mrs. Joe Mohair, who is visiting her father, Dr. I.P. Sessions, told of the passing of Mrs. A.S. Whitehurst in the home of her daughter, Mrs. Chas. Mohair, 200 West 165h St., New York City.
Mrs. Whitehurst is remembered by friends in Rockdale as the much loved wife of Rev. A.S. Whitehurst, former pastor of the First Methodist church, where both she and her husband by their lovely Christian graces endeared themselves to our people.
The daughter will accompany the remains to Sherman, Texas, where a grandson of Mrs. Whitehurst, Mr. Russell Dunn, resides.  Interment will be there on Friday, beside that of her husband who preceded her in death several years ago.
