Tis so sweet to trust in Jesus and to take Him at His Word.
Denise Little without hesitation or reservation, knowing she is a child of the King, with joy went home to be with the Lord.  His word says, "to be absent from the body is to be present before the Lord."  She accepted the Lord at an early age as her earthly father died when she was very young.
After coming to know Abba Father, she knew she would never be fatherless again because Abba Father said He would never leave or forsake her, this knowing she would never be alo ne.  She accepted His plan for her life to sing for Him and that to the least of them, the prisoner, knowing it was being done unto Him.   She was full of life loving God and people.
Denise R. Little, daughter of William and Carrie Gayles, was born May 21, 1954 in Birmingham, Alabama.  She was one of 2 children born to this union and a half-brother as well.  To know Denise was to love her; she radiated with the love of God.  She accepted her call as a psalmist at  an early age and had been singing for Him until her going home to be with Him.  Her passion and joy were going to the prisons to bring hope, joy and everlasting life.  She has ministered in prisons in as many as 12+ years.   She has shared her gift with many other prison ministries.  This started under the leadership of Mother Annie McKinnon, of which Denise looked at as her second Mom.
Denise will be remembered and loved by those whose lives she touched.
She leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband, Leroy Little; one son, Eric Hall, Texas; daughter-in-law, Melinda Hall; stepdaughter, Jeanine Little, Alabama, whom she loved as her own; and Catherine Little, Texas,
stillborn; one half-brother, Larry Allen, Georgia; noted niece, Wanda Butler, Georgia, that called her second Mom; and other nieces and nephews; one brother-in-law, Roy High Tower, Alabama; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Her joy was to see others come to know Christ and receive the gift of everlasting life.   It's not a gift that's given only at Christmas nor any other holiday; it's a gift that's given at all times, why not receive your gift today.  He gives
everlasting life.   The greatest gift that has ever been given, the gift  of everlasting life.  I give you Jesus.
A funeral service honoring Denise's life was held Saturday morning, October 29, in the sanctuary of Trinity Light House, Denison, Texas.  Interment followed at West Hill Cemetery, Sherman. - - - Waldo Funeral Home
