 West Hill Cemetery Sherman, Texas   Culas Marbro Rook was born September 2, 1916 in Aly, Yell County, Arkansas, son of James Monroe Rook and Hester Lavada "Vadie" Priddy Stockton. He married Florence Casse on October 18, 1945 in Paris, Lamar County, Texas. Culas received a Purple Heart in World War II, serving in the 1st Calvary Division in New Guinea and the Philippines.
