MRS. MILLIE WATTS DEAD
One of Sherman's Most Highly Regarded Citizens Passes Away
Mrs. Millie Watts, one of Sherman's best known and most highly regarded citizens, died at the home of her son-in-law, Joel Collins, No. 518 East Cherry street, this morning at 3:30 o'clock.  She was nearly 87 years of age and died from the infirmities of old age, passing quietly to rest, after a life of usefulness.
Mrs. Watts was a native of Kentucky, having been born in Richmond, that state.  She came to Sherman with her family in 1876, and has resided here ever since. Her husband, Robert Watts, has been dead a number of years.
She is survived by 5 sons, as follows: O.O. Watts of Gainesville; F.M. Watts of Sherman; E.W. Watts of Dallas; J.F. Watts of Oklahoma; and W.M. Watts of Winchester, Kentucky.  All of them are here to attend the funeral except the latter, who could not reach Sherman in time.
Funeral services will be held at the residence of Mr. Collins on East Cherry street, at 10 o'clock tomorrow morning and interment will be in West Hill cemetery.  The services will be conducted by Elder George F. Bradford, pastor of the Central Christian church.
In the death of Mrs. Watts the last of a large family has departed from the scenes of earth.  A sister, Mrs. W.S. Sale, who had reached the ripe old age of 92 years, died in this city just a week ago today.  Her daughter, Mrs. Joel Collins, died only a few weeks ago.
She was a splendid Christian woman and had often expressed herself ready to answer the summons.  She will be missed by a large number of friends.
