Skipworth, born September 9, 1921, daughter of John Thomas and Julie
Mae Hampton, departed this world to her heavenly home on January 24,
2005. She was married to Eugene Patrick Pilliod, who
preceded her in death, and she later married Edward "Bud"
Skipworth. She was the youngest and last surviving member of a
family of 6 brothers and 3 sisters.
She is survived by her 2 children, Sandra Eagleton of Bonham and Donald Pilliod of Ft. Worth; 3 grandchildren, Elaine Long of Denison, Shawn Eagleton of Houston and Lisa Weiershausen of Weatherford; and 2 great-granddaughters, Heather Long of Sherman and Megan Weiershausen of Weatherford. Mrs. Skipworth was a member of Northside Church of Christ. Alma was retired from Safeway and Texas Instruments, and as a senior citizen she worked at the Sam Rayburn Library for several years. She later resided at Grand Hands of Texoma until her death. Graveside services were held Friday afternoon, January 28 at West Hill Cemetery in Sherman. Pallbearers were Donald Pilliod, Walter Eagleton, Shawn Eagleton, Michael Bearden and Willie Cottrell.
