Fred McClure, III, age 70, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 4, 2022 after many years of illness.
Fred was born November 6, 1951, son of Fredm Jr. and Barbara McClure in Pampa, Texas.  He moved many places as a young person as his parents were Salvation Army Officers.
Fred was commissioned as a Salvation Army Officer in 1976 in the Overcomer session.  While there he met his wife, Cheryl and they were married January 28, 1978.
Fred loved to teach his Sunday School class, read his Bible, walk in the neighborhood and pass out religious tracks as well a send out scripture verses to everyone in his contact list and friends list.
Fred is survived by his wife; sons, Freddie and John Paul; and daughter, Barbie, all of Sherman, Texas; sister, Kathy Jenkins and husband, Jimmy; and brother, Patrick McClure and wife, Mary, of Georgia; and stepmother, Edith McClure, of Tennessee.
Fred is preceded in death by his parents; grandparents, Fred and Ruby Marx McClure; and brother, Steve McClure.
A memorial service was held Saturday morning, January 22, 2022 at The Salvation Army, followed by committal at West Hill Cemetery/
