SHERMAN - Annabelle Wilson, 88, passed away peacefully on May 20, 2016 at Texoma Health Care in Sherman.  She was born February 8, 1928 in Sherman, daughter of Oliver Bryant and Mollie McDonald Jones.  Annabelle retired from Austin College after 30 years and was a life-long member of Greater New Hope Baptist Church in Sherman.
Throughout her life, Annabelle acquired many friends and no one was a stranger to her.   She was known for her contagious smile, great sense of humor, and jokes.  Annabelle's "Cow Bell" will forever be remembered at Sherman Bearcat Stadium.
Annabelle is survived by her children: A.J. Wilson, Jr. of Sherman; Marcie Wilson-Jefferson of Sherman; Danny Wilson of Prosper, and Mark Mask of Sherman; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; 2 sisters, Rachel Smith of Peoria, Illinois and Virginia Southern of Sherman.   Annabelle's extended family of friends are too numerous to count.
A Home Going Celebration was held Friday morning, May 27, 2016 at Greater New Hope Baptist Church in Sherman.  Pastor Steve Stell officiated and Rev,. Aaron Phillips delivered the eulogy.  Burial followed  at West Hill Cemetery with arrangements by James E. Smith with Waldo Funeral Home.
